So as the snow starts piling up and the out-of-towners start driving in, our town starts picking up! Here are some around town activities to look for this weekend!

The Shuter Library of Angel Fire is having a used book sale all this weekend (Dec. 20-23)! There will be thousands of books, audio CD's, DVD's, puzzles and games all at a fantastically discounted price! Stop by the library sometime to fill those stockings next week!

In our neighboring town of Eagle Nest, the community has started making plans for the annual Polar Bear Plunge. Though this chilling even is usually at the Eagle Nest Lake, this year it has been moved to a stock tank due to low lake levels. If braving a swimsuit in the winter isn't bad enough for you, throw it on and head out to Eagle Nest on New Year's Day where over 80 people broke the ice and jumped in the frozen lake to kick of last year.

Or if you'd like to stay in town, and in your warm clothes, our mountain is finally opening more runs! We now have 22 runs open on the front side of our mountain, and you still have time to purchase your End of Year pass from the resort! With the sun peaking out from behind clouds and wind for the first time in a while, and the runs fluffy and powdery, this is the perfect time to hit the mountain for some outdoor adventure.
