April 21, 2014 Veterans Cemetery Comes to Angel Fire Gov. Susana Martinez has chosen the Angel Fire area as one of the sites for a veterans cemetery. The cemetery is expected to be 3-5 acres in size. As the plans stand now, the cemetery will be built on donated land adjacent to the Viet Nam Veterans Memorial State Park. The cemetery will be managed through the New Mexico Department of Veteran Services, under federal guidelines.

New Powder Just in time for the annual championship snow shovel races, we get 12 inches of new snow. The Ice Fishing Tournament, however, has been cancelled, so put away those rods and wax your shovel. You may even see yourself on TV. This event is usually covered by our local news stations.
